| Appointments shall be made of a sportsperson who has participated in any of the games/sports (as mentioned in Para-05) and considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:- Sportspersons having represented: | |
| (i) A state or the country in the National or International Competition in any of the games/sports mentioned in the list at Para-05 | |
| For the purpose of recruitment the international meets/competitions shall be categorized as under:- | |
| Category-A : (1) Olympic Games (2) World Championships/ World Cup | |
| Category-B : (1) Asian Games (2) Commonwealth Games (3) Asian Championships/ Cup (4) Commonwealth Championships / Cup | |
| (ii) Further, keeping in view the overall intention of the Government of India behind the recruitment through sports quota to promote and nurture sportspersons, priority shall be given to a candidate without any sponsorship/scholarship/contract/employment under central, state government & PSUs over the other similarly placed candidate being in receipt of monetary compensation in the nature of sponsorship/scholarship/contract/ employment under central, state government & PSUs from any Indian/Non-Indian entity. | |
